Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is ranked in the top 50 of universities in China, and was the first university in the country to offer the study of management as a degree program.

BJTU's School of Economics and Management has a well-respected international staff with strong support for students, and offers a wide selection of business courses taught in entirely English. The exchange program includes an optional Chinese Language Course where students can learn speaking, reading, writing, listening and business Chinese.

Students will be assigned a student buddy from the School of Economics and Management who will meet them upon arrival at campus and serve as their guide to help familiarize themselves with university and city life. The international dormitory is modern with laundry facilities.

Centrally located adjacent to the second ring road, the attractive tree-lined campus is a short walk to the subway providing convenient city access. Students will have the opportunity to participate in local excursions to the Forbidden City and traditional festivals.

Student Background

BJTU is a great fit for management, marketing, and economics majors but students in all areas of business will find helpful courses here. Students with minors in economics and international business should also consider this exchange as a good academic fit. Students should have finished about 60 hours with a 3.0 GPA and be ready for upper division coursework.
