Jack Kirn MBA

Senior Lecturer

Jack is a full-time faculty member and a Senior Lecturer in the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business & Economics Department of Management. He has taught at UK for the last ten years.  He has earned a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Master of Business Administration in 2013.  Additionally, Jack has completed PhD course work in Human Resources, Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and some topics in Social Networks.

He has an extensive professional background in industry for 30 years.  His experiences include operational and executive management at large publicly and privately held corporations, in the government sector (military and large public health organization), and with entrepreneurial ventures.  He is a retired Captain in the United States Army.

Jack has taught Organizational Behavior (Masters and UG), Conflict and Negotiations (Masters and UG), Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Human Resources, International Business, and multiple Executive Education Courses. He has taken more than 200 UK students on Study Abroad in London and Italy.

Jack and his wife, Amanda, live in Fisherville, Ky.  They have 5 adult “kids” living throughout the eastern U.S.
