I didn’t know I wanted to specialize in accounting until I completed an internship with Crowe the summer after my junior year. Since I was late in making this decision, I was able to pursue a dual degree in both accounting and finance. After graduating, I continued with the Master of Science in Accounting program and with the help of that program, was able to pass all parts of the CPA exam prior to beginning full-time with Crowe. I joined Crowe as a member of the audit practice where I spent five years auditing public and non-public financial institutions. I left Crowe and spent two and a half years at American Electric Power on their accounting policy and research team. During that time, I managed the implementation of new accounting standards and performed accounting analysis on new investments. Finally, I rejoined Crowe in November of 2021 as a member of Crowe’s Accounting Advisory team. In my role in Accounting Advisory, I assist clients on a variety of accounting challenges associated with business combinations and consolidations.
