Jeffrey L. McWaters served as a member of the Senate of Virginia, representing the 8th district, from 2010-15. Prior to becoming a senator, he was the founder, chairman and CEO of Amerigroup Corporation, which helps states better respond to the healthcare needs of low-income and uninsured families and people with disabilities. Mr. McWaters has proven himself as a leader in organizing patient-focused health service companies. He has worked with governors, state legislators, members of Congress and federal policymakers to develop accountable and efficient systems of care that have saved the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars and improved the lives of countless families.
