Commercialization Specialist, Venture Studio Director and Program Manager
Mariam is the New Ventures Manager for the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship (VACE) & the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at the University of Kentucky (UK). Her focus is to offer a wide array of services to assist entrepreneurial UK employees, students, staff, and community members in their pursuit starting a company, or licensing intellectual property. This scope spans from research or early stage ideas. Mariam is also the Venture Studio space manager and Entrepreneurs Bootcamp co-founder and architect for the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship (VACE). Mariam has an industry background, and worked as an engineering military contractor for several years prior to joining the VACE team. Mariam has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in industrial technology from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU).
