Your New Home

All students who participate in the Business Enterprise Learning Community will reside in Jewell Hall located in the north campus neighborhood. Opened in 2014, Jewell Hall was named for Frances Jewell McVey, former assistant professor of English at UK and former dean of women at UK from 1921-1932. Jewell Hall has the 2-bedroom and 2 person suite room types and is the only residence hall with a rooftop terrace.
Specialty Courses
Students who participate in the Business Enterprise LLP will be required to enroll in the corresponding business section of the UK101: Freshman Orientation course for the fall semester. In addition, students will also be enrolled in B&E150: Business Career Exploration for the Spring Semester. The purpose of this course is to allow students to discover potential career paths of Gatton majors by participating in exploration activities and utilizing resources provided by our college’s Graham Office of Career Management.
Eligibility
The Business Enterprise Learning Community is a first-year program for declared business students who are interested in pursuing careers in one of the academic disciplines within the Gatton College: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, or the exploratory business tack.
