Dr. Jabir Ali is Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow in the Centre for Food and Agribusiness Management and working in the Institute since December 2004. He is currently Co-Chairman, Management Development Program at IIM Lucknow and served the institute at various administrative positions such as Chairman, Centre for Food and Agribusiness Management; Member, Placement Committee; Member, Library Advisory Committee and Member, Admission Committee.

His area of interest in teaching and research includes Food & Agribusiness Supply Chain Management, Trade Logistics in Agribusiness, Agriculture & Food Policy Analysis and Social Marketing. Dr. Ali has published several research papers in referred national and international journals such as International Journal of Consumer Studies (Wiley- Blackwell), Health Policy and Planning (Oxford University Press), International Journal of Information Management (Elsevier), Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development (Emerald), British Food Journal (Emerald), Journal of Food Products Marketing (Routledge), Journal of Foodservice Business Research (Routledge) and South Asia Research (Sage).

He has also handled a number of research/ consultancy projects related social and development sector and has been working closely with the Government on various development schemes. He has coordinated a number of Management Development Programmes for the participants from Asian and African Countries.
