Nargess Golshan Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Professor Golshan joined the University of Kentucky in 2020 after earning a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Missouri. She also holds a BSc. in Applied Mathematics and an MBA in Strategic Management. Prior to entering academia, she worked as a Business Manager in Amec's regional office in Kuala Lumpur, an oil and gas engineering and management consulting company headquartered in London. She also worked as an instructor at Curtin University in Australia for two years.
Professor Golshan's research primarily focuses on the determinants and consequences of disclosures, as well as the role and dynamics of the auditing industry. She is interested in exploring mechanisms through which the consequences of disclosures are observed, such as how market participants acquire and process different types of information.
