Nolen C. Allen is the former president and chairman of Cotton & Allen, PSC. Prior to serving as president of this company for nearly 40 years, he was a partner at William Cotton Co., one of Kentucky’s pioneer CPA firms. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in accounting, he received the Elisa Watts Sells award for earning the second highest grade in the United States on the CPA examination. Due to Mr. Allen’s extensive involvement with civic and community activities, his community has presented him with a number of singular honors. These include the Ira J. Porter Award, presented by the American Red Cross, and the Distinguished Service Award from the Kentucky Society of CPAs.
