VACE Holds Virtual Graduation for Spring 2.0 Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp

On April 30, nine teams led by students, UK faculty and community members graduated from the Spring 2.0 Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp

The Bootcamp 2.0 program, run by the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship (VACE) in the Gatton College of Business and Economics, is an intensive program where teams selected from VACE’s Fall Bootcamp 1.0, work through early business and revenue models, customer validation and refining pitches.

The Bootcamp 2.0 program was limited to the top 16 teams selected from the Fall Bootcamp 1.0. These teams were chosen based on their overall performance during Bootcamp 1.0. Section criteria consisted of meeting bootcamp milestones and the team placement in Bootcamp 1.0 finals.

This year, the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise co-sponsored the top two Bootcamp Finale Awards. The winners included:

First place ($2,000) - Purplewood Farm
Second place ($1,000) - Cellie Coping Kit

"It has been rewarding to watch all these teams progress through the development of their ideas, mature in their pitching skills, and significantly increase the level of their overall business acumen,” said Warren Nash, director of VACE.
