I am currently enrolled in MSF program with a GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 and earned bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree in finance at University of Kentucky. The first time that finance caught my eyes was in 2008 when the huge financial crisis happened. My father encouraged me to invest the money to buy ETF called Yuyang in China. I rarely knew finance at that time, so I thought he just want the money to do something and I agreed. After 3 years that I almost forgot I have money invested in ETF, my father told me that the ETF I bought doubled its price right now. From that time, I started to study finance, especially in investment. It gives me a feel like researching a treasure when I find out a good company to invest.
To have an in-depth study of investment, I opened a stock trading account in 2013. By using the knowledge learned in the University, especially the course in MSF program call Investments Practicum, such as financial models and comparing ratios with industry average and competitors to investigate companies and built up my own portfolio. The return rate was 67.07% in 2017. I also had an internship in Shanghai Chenghui Certified Public Accountants Co.,Ltd as an auditing assistant. I viewed a lot of invoices in many companies such as The New Momentive (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Dracoo Automation Co.,Ltd and Shanghai Lufu Trading Limited. It gave me a good view of the relationship among each accounts in financial statement.
