Mr. Dougherty is originally from Fort Michell, Kentucky (Cincinnati suburb). Upon graduation he attended the University of Kentucky where he was part of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Habitat for Humanity, and Freshman Leadership Development Program. Mr. Dougherty graduate in December 2014 with a Bachelors of Accounting (150 credit hours). Upon graduation he worked as an auditor for 14 months, before joining KPMG for 15 months in Washington Metro Area as a Risk Consultant. Just prior to starting the Master of Finance program at the University of Kentucky he interned at Bluegrass Equity, a startup private equity firm. During his time at Bluegrass Equity his interest for finance evolved into a passion, and has pushed him to constantly expand his knowledge in finance. During is short time in the Master of Finance program Mr. Dougherty has been elected by his peers as the Chief Compliance Officer of the Student Endowment, joined the Finance Society, and was chosen to attend the Deans Advisory Council Luncheon. Mr. Dougherty hopes to be a valuable contributor in the University of Kentucky community, and the greater community of Lexington during his time in the Master of Finance program.
