Nina Marijanovic, M.S., Ed.S., has been in the field of student affairs for over ten years starting in her undergraduate days at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She has been at the University of Kentucky since 2010 where she began as an academic coordinator for the Office of Residence Life, specializing in living learning programs. She joined Gatton’s Undergraduate Resource Center in fall 2014 and she primarily advises Gatton’s undergraduate students, but, she also serves on several departmental sub-teams focusing on student success and advising innovation. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Policy & Evaluation and her focus is on social and support networks and work-life policies affecting female faculty in former Yugoslavia, namely Bosnia and Herzegovina. She hopes to continue her career in higher education by blending administrative and lecturing duties. Ultimately, she’d like to return to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a faculty member and work for a non-partisan policy center.
