Michelle Lowe
Director of Alumni Engagement

Michelle is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with over 20 years experience in event management, marketing and project management. From 2000-2006, she held the position of Marketing/Director of Catering/Hospitality with Aramark Campus Services at two different universities - Morehead State University and Western Kentucky University. In 2006, she directed a team of professionals as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Crowne Plaza Lexington. In 2012, she began employment at the University of Kentucky as the event coordinator at the Hilary J. Boone Center. In 2013, Michelle joined the Gatton College of Business and Economics as a project manager. In 2015, she obtained the position of Assistant Communications Director. During this time, she has engineered events including university conferences, university donor events, ground breaking & cornerstone ceremonial events, student and faculty ceremonies, awards as well as development and alumni events. She currently serves on 2 Gatton councils -- the Gatton Staff Council and the Gatton Diversity Council.

Michelle has also planned and executed events for the local Lexington community including TEDxLEx, NAWBO, Fifth Third Bank, and Bluegrass Tomorrow.

Michelle earned her BA from Morehead State University in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations/Advertising in 2003.
