Career Counselor / Program Coordinator
Amanda Schagane is a passionate life-long learner sharing career guidance through her full-time role in university career services where she also develops and facilitates career development courses for graduate and undergraduate students. She writes regular career development columns for for the local newspaper, the Lexington Herald-Leader and enjoys presenting to specialty groups in the community. She has over 9 years experience in higher education setting, 7+ in higher education career services. Prior to joining the Graham Office team she worked at the James W. Stuckert Career Center as a Career Advisor to exploratory studies students. She earned the Master Career Counselor designation by the National Career Development Association and served as president for the Kentucky chapter of the organization. Credentials include a Certificate in Business Administration, MS.Ed. in Counseling Psychology, BA in Psychology and extensive training with career assessments and job search resources and success strategies. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory career assessments.
