The Gatton College has announced the inaugural "Emerging Leaders Board" which consists of Gatton alumni (age 40 and under) that are interested in improving outcomes of students in the Gatton college. Out of the 32 members that were selected for the Gatton Emerging Leaders Board, 10 are successful UK MBA alums. 

University of Kentucky MBA alum Dr. Tim Mullett serves as the current Medical Director for the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center Affiliate and Research Networks. Dr. Mullett joined UK HealthCare in 1996, helping to form UK Markey Cancer Center’s first full thoracic oncology practice. Since 2015, Dr. Mullett has served as medical director for the UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate and Research Networks, which help ensure that high-quality cancer care is readily available to patients across the region.

The University of Kentucky MBA program welcomes all students, young professionals and emerging leaders across all academic majors and backgrounds to their One Year MBA Open House event on Wednesday, October 23rd at 5:30 PM to learn more about the full-time, One Year MBA and applicable dual degree programs. The University of Kentucky welcomes the incoming Professional MBA class to the Gatton College of Business and Economics. The collective class brings significant years of professional work experience along with a high standard of academic excellence and personal/professional accomplishments. This class will be the first to have "distance learners" enrolled in the new Real-Time, Online MBA option whereby candidates can attend classes in person, online from any location, or a combination of both. Compared to previous classes, this cohort bring more years of managerial and leadership experiences with an increased number of minority students, professional women, military and healthcare professionals enrolling in the Professional MBA (For Leaders in Healthcare) program.

University of Kentucky MBA alumna Mary Beth Wright, Business Development Executive at Messer Construction Co. and Kimra Cole, President and Chief Operating Officer at Columbia Gas of Kentucky were recently recognized in The Lane Report's "Top Women in Business", which highlights women who are making an impact in business, their professions, politics and economic development. 

University of Kentucky MBA alum Jacob Schlarman is a Clinical Project Manager at CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services. Headquartered in Covington, Kentucky, CTI is a global, privately held, full-service contract research organization (CRO), delivering a complete spectrum of clinical trial and consulting services. As a Clinical Project Manager, Jacob is responsible for managing the client, scope, and functional team members (Biostatistics, Data Management, Monitoring, Regulatory, Safety, etc.) assigned to a clinical trial. 

University of Kentucky MBA alumna Taylor Corbett is now the VC-25B Interiors Program Manager for the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB). In this role, Taylor will be managing the colors, material finishes, and interior architecture of the new Air Force One. Taylor will be working on the team overseeing the inspection of raw materials, end-products, and rooms of the aircraft to ensure they meet "Presidential-Quality" standards by putting both her engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Kentucky to work. 

Dr. Paul Childs assumed the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs role at the Gatton College of Business and Economics on July 1st, 2019. Paul will help supervise and coordinate the administration, governance and growth of the graduate programs at Gatton, serve as an additional point of contact for graduate students and be a trusted liaison among the graduate students, faculty, staff and the Graduate School at the University of Kentucky. In addition, Paul will also serve as the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) at Gatton. 

The University of Kentucky MBA program has announced four new members to their MBA Advisory Council representing Lexmark, UK Healthcare, LBX Company and Big Ass Fans. The UK MBA is privileged to welcome the following new members: Tari Young, Engineering Manager, Software and Firmware Development at Lexmark; J.J. Housley, Assistant Operations Executive at UK HealthCare; Joe O'Nan, Chief Financial Officer at LBX Company and Eric Evans, Chief Financial Officer at Big Ass Fans.

University of Kentucky MBA student, Karla Southworth has been named Project Director for the Electronic Health Record Implementation Project Team at UK HealthCare. Karla will be responsible for oversight of the project life cycle, day-to-day execution of the EHR Implementation Project, and communication of progress, key issues and risks, as well as other status updates to project governing bodies.
