The Professional MBA brings together a diverse network of working professionals from various work experiences, companies, industries, sectors and business units. While studying and engaging each other in a more traditional environment, the professional students have the opportunity to bring in their daily work responsbilities into the classroom and then immediately apply what they learn in the workplace the following day. Learning from experienced professors and other working professionals, you will advance and hone your leadership and managerial skills. Register to attend the upcoming Professional MBA Open House event on Thursday, March 2nd.
The MBA faculty assumes that all new students possess a proficiency in basic accounting and economics. As a result, the following prerequisites must be satisfied before the start of the program: Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. After careful examination of each applicant's prior coursework, the MBA Admissions Committee will make specific recommendations concerning which courses (if any) will be required.
During the course of the year, MBA students at the University of Kentucky will have the opportunity to earn value-added professional certifications from one of several certifying institutions.
