Health care and business are increasingly interconnected. While hospital administrators need a solid medical and business background, physicians also are increasingly confronted with complex business decisions. In response to this need, the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics and the College of Medicine offers the MD/MBA dual degree program awarding both Medical Doctorate (MD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in five years.
Admissions & Preparatory Courses
The MD/MBA dual degree program awards both the Medical Doctorate (MD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees at the University of Kentucky. Students interested in the MD/MBA program must apply independently to both colleges and meet the admission requirements of each program. Current medical students typically apply to the MBA program during their third year of medical school. Please review the College of Medicine website for any new updates or information. Before applying into the MBA program, please review the Admissions Requirements, MBA Preparatory Courses and updated GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy.
