Mr. Jim Patton to speak to Finance Society

Mr. Jim Patton will be speaking to the Finance Society on April 18 (Tuesday) from 6:15pm-7:15pm in Gatton room 311. Mr. Patton is the founder/owner of KPAC Solutions, an international private equity firm that specializes in turnarounds for distressed manufacturing companies. Over 95% of the acquisitions and/or divestitures they have executed involve publicly traded companies on the NYSE or NASDAQ. They have never had to close or bankrupt an acquisition. Mr. Patton’s career path is an unorthodox one. He decided not to pursue a college degree and instead went to Vo-tech school. He started out his career as an HVAC repairman and worked a variety of manufacturing jobs before acquiring his first business. In addition, he is the author of “Life in the Turn Lane,” an autobiography detailing many of the hardships and obstacles he has encountered throughout his career. Since founding the firm over 25 years ago, KPAC Solutions, LLC has acquired over $6 billion in revenue line subsidiaries.

If you are interested in attending the talk by Mr. Patton, please check with the Finance Society before midnight April 14 (Friday) by emailing financesocietyuky@gmail.com your name and major (if you are a student) or department/college (if you are a faculty/staff member).
