Gatton College is proud to recognize seniors Eric Johnson, Ross Hildabrand, Rex Bray, and Drew Brueggeman, who represented UK in the annual University of Georgia Equity Valuation and Presentation competition in January 2017. The UK team was selected from dozens of participating universities to advance to the final round where they placed 3rd out of 12, besting competitors including the University of Georgia, Emory University, and the University of Alabama.

In fall 2016, the students served as analysts for Gatton’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) as participants in Finance 485 under the guidance of adjunct professor Quint Tatro. All four have also accepted an invitation to participate in the 2017 Hedge Fund Strategy competition held at the Georgia State University in April 2017.
