Research

  •   Interests:

During my undergraduate, I had the opportunity to be a research associate, which stimulated

my interest in research. Also, throughout my husband's doctoral education, I learned a lot

about academia. Additionally, being a Research Assistant at KSU (department of Sociology)

then at UK (department of Economics, and now Management) has been a great learning

 experience.

I am committed to doing quality research with hope to make a contribution to the literature,

along to acquiring strong research skills and developing a stream of research.

One of my interests is in the role of affect and emotional abilities in decision-making,

performance, and social network in organizations and organizational behaviors.  Especially, I

would like to further understand the development of affective ties, such as negative ties and

their impact on individuals' social capital. Another interest relates to the dynamics (formation,

maintenance, decay) of individual's social network over time. Additionally, I also

would like to investigate the role of social network in finding employment  and career

development.
