-
I graduated from
Virginia Tech
(Pamplin College of Business) in Dec. 2001, majoring in Finance,
Magna Cum Laude.
-
After graduation, I worked for different corporations such as
Bank of America, American Cash
Exchange of Virginia, and Progressive Insurance. I gained
experience and developed organizational, interpersonal, creative, and leadership skills.
-
I then decided to pursue
an academic career and as a first
step I decided to work toward a Masters
Degree in Sociology (Kansas
State University).
I
chose sociology as a field of study as it has always been of
great interest
to me. However, my husband and I relocated a year within
my M.A. in Sociology to Lexington, KY, as he got a position with
University of Kentucky. Then, I decided that the best option to
prepare for a Ph.D. in Business was to first pursue a Master's Degree
in
Economics (University of Kentucky),
which I obtained in May 2007. I am now working toward my Ph.D. in
Business and Administration, in the area of
Management
(University
of Kentucky).
My
goals are to eventually gain the skills to
become a professor in a major research university.
