Set in an historic student city, Oxford Brookes is one of the UK’s leading modern universities and enjoys an international reputation for teaching excellence and innovation as well as strong links with business and industry. Oxford, the city, is a student city like no other. It has nearly 40,000 students in the city from all over the world and from all kinds of backgrounds. Indeed, students make up 26 percent of the city's working age population.
Oxford Brookes is based on three campuses in and around Oxford. Together, they offer a great campus environment complete with a full range of amenities including multiple gyms, libraries, student housing, and a wonderful student center. Brookes buses link the campuses with the halls of residence, city center, and railway station.
The business school is located on the Wheatley campus which is approximately 15 minutes away from the main campus (Headington) by bus. However, students receive a free bus pass and live on the main campus which is centrally located and approximately 15 minutes from downtown. This exchange program can work for students looking to study abroad during the fall, spring, and academic year.
OBU is a great fit for all business majors and minors but it also offers a number of approved Accounting courses. This program is highly competitive so students should inquire early (a year or more in advance). Students should have finished 60 hours or more with a minimum 3.0 GPA and be ready for upper division coursework.
