Premium Solver

When installing Premium Solver, you need to “Choose another location”

c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Library\SOLVER\

After clicking on Premium, you should be able to see a listbox, from which you can select standard simplex LP.

Crystal Ball.

Add Crystal Ball “add-in”, going to Tools à Add-ins à Browse to where the Crystal Ball software “Cb.xla” is located, e.g. C:\Program Files\Crystal Ball\.

After you’ve installed Crystal ball, you might need to set the security level of Excel to medium to approve Crystal Ball for running in Excel. Here is how:

Go to Excel à Options à Security Tab à check “Medium”.
