"A breakthrough, you say? If it's in economics, at least it can't be dangerous. Nothing like gene engineering, laser beams, sex hormones or international relations. That's where we don't want any breakthroughs." (J.K. Galbraith, A Tenured Professor)
Welcome To the right you can read my current "rant."
|
I reread my last rant on Truth, and decided it needed a follow up. I noted in that rant that truth and fact checking seem to be at an all time low. That the Jeffersonian ideal of an informed electorate and the economic ideal of informed consumers is not being met. Recently a friend posted a short news clip about "Latino's Getting Six Votes." The reporters made it seem, through much of the discussion, like a court had ordered a community to give Latino voters six votes for city council and the underlying implication was that everyone else didn't get that. But if you listen closely at about minute 1:32, you'll hear very quickly the truth (at least it's there!).
