Susan Jordan PhD
Associate Professor of Finance
Susan D. Jordan is Associate Professor of Finance in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. She received an MBA and PhD in Finance from the University of Georgia. She joined the Gatton College in 1997 after serving on the faculty at the University of Missouri. Dr. Jordan specializes in the investments area and her research focuses on fixed income securities and exchange traded funds (ETFs). She has published articles in leading finance journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Journal of Banking and Finance. Dr. Jordan has received a variety of research and teaching awards.
Dr. Jordan currently teaches investments. She has taught courses in portfolio management, fixed income, and corporate finance. Dr. Jordan has served the profession in a numerous ways. These include past service as Academic Director and Program Track Chair of the Financial Management Association (FMA), Program Chair and President of the Midwest Finance Association (MFA), and Academic Director and Vice-President of Membership for the Eastern Finance Association (EFA). She currently serves on the MFA’s Advisory Board and as President of her homeowner’s association.
