What Gatton is Doing to Minimize the Spread

  • Transitioning all face to face classes online.
  • Offering and allowing remote work options for employees.
  • Encouraging and practicing social distancing in the facility.
  • Canceling, postponing or moving large events online or to telecom.
  • Adding hand-sanitizing stations and bottles of hand sanitizer throughout the facility.
  • Posting signage throughout the facility with best practices related to disinfecting personal belongings and encouraging good hygiene, such as covering coughs and sneezes, and washing hands with soap and water frequently.
  • Deploying disinfecting wipes, bottles of hand sanitizers, and other disinfectant cleaning supplies to all units in the facility.
  • Educating and encouraging all employees to frequently disinfect their personal work spaces by cleaning keyboards, desks, and other highly touched surfaces.
  • Decreasing high use touch points around the building by propping open high use (non-emergency/life safety) doors.
  • Wiping down high use touch points such as door handles, elevator buttons, handrails etc. on a frequent basis.
