UK MBA recognizes faculty member Randy Siever for his significant contributions to the program

Randy SieverThe Gatton College of Business and Economics would like to recognize faculty member, Randy Siever, for his significant contributions to the MBA program at the University of Kentucky.

Randy is one of those rare individuals who can never say no to someone asking him to volunteer his time and talents for a program, class, or to help mentor students. Randy graduated from Gatton’s One Year MBA program in 2007. He then went to work at LeanCor Supply Chain Group where he worked for seven years as a logistics engineer and then as a manager of logistics engineering before he was promoted to Director of Operations. He left LeanCor in 2014 to start his own venture called Novintu Software Solutions where he presently develops custom software for a wide range of customers, including consultants and supply chain/3PLs, primarily focusing on flow and visual management. Randy is now working with farmers to help them maximize their crop yield and ROI through lean principals.

He has been instrumental in the growth and development of the MBA programs at Gatton in recent years. He has served on the MBA Advisory Council since its inception in 2012. Randy has also participated on numerous occasions at Lunch & Learns, career panels, open houses and orientations. Whenever we need his help he always responds with an enthusiastic ‘yes’.

Randy is in his third year of teaching Supply Chain in both MBA cohorts as an adjunct instructor. UK MBA students always give Randy very high marks as an instructor saying that he brings a lot of valuable real-world expertise to the classroom as well as making a technical course interesting and interactive. If this is not enough, Randy also serves as the unofficial networker for those students and recent alumni interested in pursuing a career in supply chain or logistics. Randy is passionate about helping young people identify career opportunities in this profession.

Randy has mentioned many times that he couldn’t give so much of his time to the UK MBA program without having an understanding and supportive wife who stays very busy with three small children at home. From the entire MBA Center, including other faculty and staff at Gatton, we are very grateful for having Randy make such a positive and significant impact on the UK MBA program.
