Please join us for our first brownbag teaching workshop of the year! Classroom compliance isn’t something we talk about often, but as instructors we should know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how to do it right, to ensure all our students have the best chance of success in the classroom.

In this workshop, we will learn about what it means when we receive a student accommodation letter from the Disability Resource Center and appropriate ways to respond from DRC Director David Beach. We will also learn about what we are required to do regarding FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) from UK’s Deputy General Counsel, T. Lynn Williamson. And finally, we will discuss the Title IV Attendance Verification Requirement and strategies for individual instructor compliance.

Plus, lunch will be provided from Blue Door BBQ!

This workshop will inform your classroom practices, and should be some fun too! We hope you will join us. Please RSVP by Wednesday, Sept. 4.
