The Management area provides students with knowledge and skills in areas such as decision-making, global-business management and entrepreneurship,
small-business management and consulting. Our primary objective is to provide students with a broad set of skills, knowledge, and perspectives
so they can pursue careers in a variety of organizations, corporations, government agencies and
industries--public or private, product or service-oriented, large or start-up, profit or not-for-profit. Also, the management
major provides a solid foundation for graduate study in an MBA program or law school.
The Management Area focuses its teaching and research on three broad areas considered fundamental for successful
leaders and organizations:
- organizational behavior and human resource management
strategic management,
- decision-making, and global-business management
entrepreneurship,
- small-business management, and consulting
