At times, college can be challenging. At Gatton College we're committed to helping you through the times when your academic career seems overwhelming. Throughout the College and University there are many tutoring options available to you.

LEAP lab: Free ACC and ECO tutoring

The Gatton College provides free tutoring for students in 200-level ACC and ECO courses. The LEAP lab (Laboratory for Economic and Accounting Proficiency) is located in the computer room on the first floor of the Gatton College of Business & Economics. Consult the LEAP web page for more information, including a tutoring schedule.

If you need assistance in an economics course, the Department of Economics offers two possible routes. One is through the Business College tutorial lab (LEAP), and the other is through independent tutors. The help room is located in room 115 of the Business Information Center on the first floor of UK's Gatton College of Business & Economics.

LEAP's hours of operation are selected on the premise that many students have difficulty making it to a professor's office hours. The lab works on a "first-come, first-served" basis, so no appointments with tutors are necessary. More Information | Current LEAP Schedule

Private Tutors

While private economics tutors are not employed by the Department of Economics, we do try to compile a list of very capable economics majors who are interested in tutoring. Fees are determined on an individual basis. A list of potential tutors and the courses they are willing to tutor will be made available at a later date.

Mathskeller: Math tutoring

The Math Sciences Instructional Lab (Mathskeller) offers free math tutoring to UK students. The Mathskeller is located in Room 63 of the Whitehall Classroom Building (in the basement, near the loading dock). For contact information and a tutoring schedule, consult the Mathskeller home page.
