IMPORTANT NOTE: The Undergraduate Advising Center recommends that UK freshmen NOT seek employment during their first year of classes, if at all possible. It has been our experience that first-year students adjust to the college experience better and earn higher grades if they are not encumbered with a job during this crucial year of transition to college.
