The Master of Business Administration (MBA) students start their career job search upon entering the program. Under the leadership of Sally Foster, Director of MBA Career Services, students examine their career goals and develop a plan of action to find their ideal professional position upon graduation. Assistance with resume writing, business correspondence, interviewing, job search, salary negotiation, and networking skills is available.

Over 250 employers visit campus each year through the James W. Stuckert Career Center. Students are encouraged to search and explore companies coming to campus and companies that are of interest to the student through the internet and other resources in the Katherine Kemper Library at the James W. Stuckert Career Center.

Additional resources:

Networking - Mentoring program through the James W. Stuckert Career Center. Networking contacts are available through the Mentoring Program that includes alumni, friends of UK, and employers. This resource is an excellent way to find contacts for informational interviews, shadowing, and career advice.

Career Fairs - The James W. Stuckert Career Center hosts several career fairs throughout the year including the Business Career Fair which is held in the Fall Semester and a Spring Career & Internship Expo. For more information go to the Stuckert Career Center website.

Workshops - Career development and job search workshops are available each Thursday through the James W. Stuckert Career Center and also specialized MBA workshops are held at the Gatton College of Business. Topics include: Resume Writing, Interviewing, Networking, Salary Negotiations, Etiquette, and What Employers Want from Executive Level Employees.

Job Search - All job postings, interview schedules, workshop schedules, and the mentoring program are available on the Wildcat CareerLink system. To apply for interviews and view job postings, students and alumni must register and utilize Wildcat CareerLink. You may sign an authorization form to use CyberCAT at the James W. Stuckert Career Center or contact Sally Foster.
