The Campus:
The University of Kentucky is a land grant institution and Kentucky's
flagship institution. UK's Lexington Campus
is located just south of the downtown area and has over 100 major buildings.
The campus consists of a graduate school, the University hospital, and
16 colleges. UK's Graduate School offers 97 master's degree programs and
60 doctoral programs. Enrollment on the central campus includes nearly
27,000 students, representing all Kentucky counties, every state in the
nation, and 117 countries. UK boasts over 80 national rankings for academic
excellence. UK's William T. Young Library is among the world's leading
research libraries; its book endowment is the largest among public universities
and ranks second only to Harvard University among all the nation's universities.
The
Gatton College of Business and Economics: The Gatton College
of Business and Economics was established at
the University of Kentucky in 1925, and was renamed the Gatton College
of Business and Economics in 1996. The College includes the School of
Management, Von Allmen School of Accountancy, and the Department of Economics.
The building provides modern teaching facilities and a computer information
center for students and faculty.
Student
Housing: Our students arrange their own housing, either in accommodations
maintained by the University or in private residences or apartments. Privately-owned
rental property at all price ranges is readily available in Lexington,
and some rental houses near campus are available for leases from UK. If
you are interested in University-owned houses that are available for lease,

Parking: On-campus and commuter student parking is available at convenient distances from the Gatton College. Free bus shuttle service is available from various campus lots. Admitted students can apply online for parking permits.
University
Health Services: University Health Services, connected with the
UK Medical Center and paid for with student fees, provides outpatient
medical and mental
health services for all UK students, but not including hospitalization,
surgical services, accident care, referrals, and after-hours care.
Student Facilities
for Sports, Recreation, and the Arts: UK provides excellent opportunities
for participation in and enjoyment of art, music, theater, and athletics.
The University has a new student athletics facility with a running track,
climbing wall and state-of-the-art fitness equipment. UK also has excellent
facilities for tennis, swimming, basketball, and other sports.
