The MBA/BS Engineering Program is a fully integrated five-year program culminating with the awarding of both the Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. The program includes an opportunity for a study abroad experience. It is a very selective program limited to 20 students per year.
Engineering students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive a letter, upon completion of their sixth semester of study, inviting them to apply to the program. Unsolicited applications will not be accepted. Additional information may be obtained from the Dean's Office in the College of Engineering. Many of these students receive valuable scholarships which have been designated for MBA/BS students.
Additional information about the BS in Engineering may be found on the College of Engineering's website.
The Gatton College of Business & Economics and the College of Law offer the opportunity to obtain the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Juris Doctor (JD) degrees in a dual degree program. Because both schools recognize that some aspects of business and law are compatible and interrelated, students gain marketable skills and specialized employment opportunities in less time than might otherwise be required.
Students interested in the MBA/JD Program must apply formally and independently to both programs and meet the admission requirements of each. Current students are eligible only if no more than one full-time semester has been completed.
*Note- The GRE or GMAT exam may be waived by the MBA Admission Committee if the applicant is currently pursuing a degree in Law and in good standing.

Dual Degree Programs with Medicine and Pharmacy
The Gatton College of Business & Economics also offers dual degree programs with the College of Pharmacy and the College of Medicine. Each of these programs will require that students apply formally and independently to each program and meet the admission requirements of each. Upon completion of both programs, graduates will receive the MD and MBA degrees, or the Pharm.D and MBA degrees.
*Note- The GRE or GMAT exam may be waived by the MBA Admission Committee if the applicant is currently pursuing a Pharm D. degree or a degree in Medicine and in good standing.

The Gatton College of Business and Economics Professional Evening MBA program offered a chance to pursue an additional degree outside of the Doctor of Pharmacy program in which I enrolled in 2005. This opened up a world of opportunities for which I would not likely have otherwise been a strong candidate. By combining the clinical training that I received in the PharmD program with the diverse coursework offered in the MBA program, I was well prepared to pursue my current career in health economics at a Fortune 100 healthcare company.
