The Department of Management provides students with broad knowledge, skills, and perspectives in consulting, decision making, small-business management, and global-business management and entrepreneurship. Our primary objective is to enable students to pursue careers in a variety of organizations, corporations, government agencies, and industries, whether public or private, product or service-oriented, large or start-up, profit or nonprofit. Also, the management major provides a solid foundation for graduate study in an MBA program or law school.
The Department of Management focuses its teaching and research on three broad areas considered fundamental for successful leaders and organizations:
- organizational behavior and human resource management strategic management
- decision making and global-business management entrepreneurship
- small-business management and consulting
